Double bed with opium legs we copied from traditional Bali design, and historical teak inlay on headboard. Does anyone remember the old huge teak tree that fell in the park couple of years back?
Bed would probably look a lot better with a mattress and bedding.
I like the way it clears the floor with a respectable distance. And the teak strips have a slight luminescence.

Almendro Flooring and Siding

Almendro 1x6x12 tongue and groove for flooring and siding.
Wood lot has been drying in block for 10 months. This flooring shows typical colour and grain variations.

This sample shows the colour and grain variations. It is not nailed, milled yesterday and sanded with palm sander to 100 grit. Then a brush on sealer… the colour is brilliant. With little selection, you should be able to lay down the floor with the grain patterns in mind.
Our almendro has been drying almost one year in block. After it is milled, it will shed some moisture, and is adviseable to season the flooring and siding for at least a month in a dry and well ventilated condition. It is generally agreed that almendro does not hold as much water as other hardwoods, ie. nispero, and therefore shrinkage is relatively minimal.
Almendro, along with nispero, is
resistant to insects and water damage.

Cedar Doors

Cedar 9 panel doors sell for $140 and $150 finished. Different price for unfinished.

Working Chair Design

8 Indonesian chairs were copied for the beautiful home of Ron Denis at Bluff Beach on Bocas Isla. Excellent reproduction by my main guy Rey de la Rosa for $155.

Zapatero has a strong natural chocolate colour.

I would prefer to change this design slightly to avoid some of the detail of the back slats.
Variation of the same chair we would like to try, from Henredon.

The back of this chair fits perfectly to curve of the spine making this a very anatomically correct seat.
Compact strong and stylish.
I would think about trying the wave design like the benches...
I also see the chair as solid rich polished zapatero without detail of a cut out...as shown with the Hendredon chair.
Can be done with or without upholstery.

Zapatero and Cedar together

This kitchen cabinet has a zapatero frame, and cedar panels. Done by my good friend Noel Melendez in Boquete for a fab home in the Panamonte Estates.

Almendro is a hardwood specific to this part of the world only. It is a hard wood used mostly for structural framework, flooring and even furniture. We are trying a persian window for client in Cayo de Aqua. Very stable, and beautiful.
